Dog show at Timmonium/ Maryland State Fairgrounds
« on: April 06, 2010, 08:58 PM »
(first, i hope this is the right place, and im allowed to post this)

http://www.marylandstatefair.com/index.cfm?page=calendar&event_id=88

On Saturday the 24th there is a dog show put on by the baltimore kennel club. I'm planning on going and seeing a bunch of ridgebacks from different pedigrees up close.

anyone else going? anyone bringing their dogs or even showing their dogs?

Sean, make sure you check the time that RRs are being judged.  You can do this by going to infodog.com and click on Show Calendar, then you will have to find your way to the show's website.  People tend to turn up an hour or so before class time and stay only a few minutes after it has finished, so if you want to see a lot of RRs you should be there at the time of the classes.  I am not going.  I don't like the show venue, and I am not travelling much with Hintza these days.  Enjoy!  I am sure you will meet lots of interesting and helpful people.

So Sorry Sean! I try and address members by their names - just seems like good manners, and I should have gone back to your intro to get it right  :-[
It is most helpful if members sign the posts, but it is what it is!
I am SO Sorry....

LOL Sean, (maybe I will have to call you Brian from now on as an inside joke)....hehehe
The ring times should be under the judging program on line when the show date gets closer (about 10 days out) They can not do that until the show entry is closed.

Here they "usually" show early in the AM.

Have fun!
Sorry again for the mistake on the name.

The girls from The Ridgeback Register will be there ... Denise Flaim and I are covering the Tibetan Mastiff Specialty for our Modern Molosser magazine.  That event is held on Friday so we decided to come down for the weekend.  Bring Ridgebacks, of course : )

Glad you had the opportunity to see the show.  It's usually a big one and you will have seen a wide range of what is being bred, I am sure.  I hope you had an opportunity to talk to some of the exhibitors.  There are usually a lot of shows in the spring so perhaps you will get a chance to go to some of them.
