Saw this on another list. Interesting site.

No mention of African dogs/ridged dogs.

Note difference in type, etc between today's dogs and those of past.

Interesting book.  Some of the dogs look very different then than they do now.  I did find the Phu Quoc hound which is described as a heavyset greyhound.  Obviously a lot of the breeds mentioned have died out over the years.
