Thank you for the welcome, Melissa. I am really hoping the puppy comes along soon but in the meantime I will just continue to learn as much as I can in preparation.  :)

There is a lot of information I hope you find helpful  :) we have a few members in the UK as well. If you have questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Not yet, Sandra but we have seen some puppies we are interested in. We are visiting them again this week to see how they are deveoping and if all goes according to plan, we are hoping our puppy will be with us within the next three weeks.  :)

I feel so bad for not updating everyone but we picked up our puppy 6 weeks ago. She is now 14 weeks old and growing very quickly. She has a very sweet nature and learns very quickly. She has joined a puppy training class and is working towards the Good Citizen Puppy Foundation Scheme. She is doing very well except she refuses to lie down on the cold floor or wet grass.  ;D She loves her home comforts and her favourite place is either on the sofa snuggled up next to me or on one of the chairs snuggled up to OH. She doesn't like walking in the rain or cold wind either and if out walking she will often take shelter between my legs and use me as an umbrella!  :) She is going to get a shock when she grows so big she can no longer get protection from the elements that way!  :) I will try to post a photo in the gallery, if I can work out how to do it.

OMG how simular they sound!  My RR won't drop either in the wet grass, doesn't like the wet or cold element, lol.  Well I think if youvé had a Border Collie you will do fine with a RR I have both and by far, my major challenges come from my Border, he's somewhat insane!  The RR is so laid back it isn't funny!   I love this breed!

Border Collies can be insane at times and very hyper if they don't get enough exercise and mental challenges!  :)

Kailey seems more laid back most of the time but she does have her mad half hours where she will dash around the room like a crazy puppy.  ;D This seems to happen when she is over tired so we tell her to go to bed and she is always happy to sleep it off for half an hour and then comes back like her normal self again.  ;D

I don't really blame her for not wanting to lie down on a comfortable surface but she has to do this to pass her Puppy Foundation test. I'm going to take her mat next week and see if they will allow her to lie down on that for her test.  :)

I'm not sure if the gallery is the correct place to post a photo as I am not a professional photographer but here is a photo of Kailey for anyone who is interested.

Oh she is gorgeous!  My Favorite colouring for a RR is the black mask and eyes, followed by the liver nosed that I have, my next RR I would like to look like yours, very pretty.
