Sleeping
« on: December 14, 2009, 04:40 PM »
I have a question about sleeping. I have recently given in and Max sleeps with me now.  It was totally my idea because when I got him he did not climb on furniture or the bed and I should have left well enough alone but what can I say, I love it.

My question is regarding his behavior.  If I lay still when I wake up, nothing happens, even if Max is awake, but as soon as I move he comes over puts front legs on one side, back legs on the other and stretches.  An "off" will make him move.

It just seems  strange, is this a dominance thing, a RR thing or just a Max thing.

Thanks in advance for your comments (Except for the ones where you chastise me for letting him in the bed)   :D

I think it is Max's way of telling you that it's time to get up.  Hintza will get off his chair and come over and stand beside my bed and gaze at me when he thinks it is time to get up.  Sometimes, I even get a cold nose.  On the other hand, Cat who does sleep with me, will decide when I wake that it is time to get back down under the covers and she will stay there long after Hintza and I get up and have breakfast.  Of course, after breakfast both will return to bed and stay there until the sun warms everything up and they can go out and play.   Are they spoilt?  You bet!
